The Enchantments Through‑Hike is Washington’s most legendary single‑day alpine epic — a full traverse over Aasgard Pass and through the Core Zone, a granite world of turquoise lakes, larch forests, and wandering mountain goats. The day begins at Colchuck Lake beneath the spires of Dragontail Peak, climbs steeply to the top of Aasgard, and then flows through one of the most beautiful high‑country basins in America before descending past Snow Lakes to the valley. It’s mythic, demanding, and unforgettable — a passage through granite, lakes, and legend.

• Estimated Time: 10 - 15 hours
• Route Type: Point-to-Point
The best time to hike the Enchantments Through‑Hike is July through October, when Aasgard Pass is mostly snow‑free and the Core Zone is fully accessible. Early summer often holds steep, hazardous snow on the pass, while August offers the most stable weather and the smoothest travel. September and early October bring golden larches and cooler temps — some of the most magical conditions of the year — but also a higher chance of early storms. Mid‑summer through early fall is the prime window for a safe, spectacular Enchantments day.
